Whites Recycling Ltd are proud to include the addition of a Claas Xerion 3800 SGT with Kaweco tanker into its expansive fleet of existing slurry spreading equipment. The 400hp Claas Xerion tows a goose-neck 30,000ltr Kaweco tanker. The tanker has been modified with a weight transfer system for even weight distribution of slurry/digestate across the three axles and is fitted with a 12,000ltr/min centrifugal pump. Whites Recycling Ltd have mounted a Vogelsang 36m trailing hose dribble bar with CFC sectional shut-off to suit tramline widths of 24, 27, 30, 32 and 36m.

The flexibility of the Xerion and Vogelsang dribble bar allows for complete controlled traffic operations when spreading slurry/digestate. This controlled traffic approach avoids excessive compaction and keeps field vehicle movements to a minimum. The trailing hose system allows targeted applications of slurry/digestate to be made onto growing crops in the spring, achieving greatest nitrogen use efficiency and nutrient return. The Claas Xerion and Kaweco tanker can also be fitted with either a 6.5m Maschio shallow disc cultivator or a 6m Evers tined injector both fitted with a cage roll for a levelled finish. The targeted approach of slurry/digestate both onto a growing crop or directly into the soil profile reduces losses of ammonia (NH3) to volatilisation and fulfils best available techniques (BAT) for spreading of slurry and digestate.

The Claas Xerion runs in conjunction with four 28,000ltr D-Tec artic tanker trailers with docking stations and fitted with Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps. The Claas Xerion SGT unit docks onto the D-Tec tanker units via a front loading system. This flexible approach allows for quick, easy unloading of the tankers from different field gate ways, across narrow ditches or even over hedgerows.
