Cost-saving Fertiliser Options in an Increasing Market
With the AHDB reporting fertiliser prices to be at, or near, a record level, and suggested increases for October and November, farmers could look at alternative fertiliser inputs as a way of cost saving, whilst still providing their crops with the nutrients required.
Whites Recycling deals with various digestates, alongside mixed liquid products originating from the food and drinks industry.
Both materials act as great alternative fertiliser providing supplies of N, P, K and So3 in readily available and slow releasing forms, whilst aiding in increasing organic matter and carbon supply within the soil.
We work with our farmers in a variety of ways dependent on their location and requirements. This can range from a supply-only service to a supply and spread. Where possible, we can utilise redundant farm slurry stores and lagoons to fill with product over the closed period, to be readily available to spread when the crop will benefit in the spring.
We use our experienced team and a modern fleet of tankers and equipment to apply the nutrients for both arable and grasslands requirements. This can reduce the need to purchase and apply inorganic manufactured fertilisers, and the cost of spreading them.

We also benefit from our own transport fleet meaning we can control deliveries and ensure product will be available at the time it is required.
Our main locations of work are:
- Bucknghamshire
- Cambridgeshire
- Leicestershire
- Lincolnshire
- Norfolk
- Northamptonshire
- Suffolk
- Yorkshire
- Teeside
All our operations comply with Farming Rules for Water, COGAP, NVZ’s, RB209, and TGN EPR 8.01.
